On October 1st MGOSI.co.za ran a story that African National Congress’ (ANC) Ward 36 Honourable Councillor of Sebokeng (Zone 12), Lesetja Seloane says he owes no one an explanation after a raunchy mapona tape leak. The Honourable Councillor Lesetja Seloane claims the explicit footage was taken from a ‘lost or stolen’ phone, which seems like he’s not entirely aware of how the raunchy footage leaked.
According to reports the ANC Youth League has called for the resignation of the ANC Councillor who appears in a video poking a Ward committee member by the name of Tshepiso Maloka in a tavern in the Vaal, South of Joburg.
According to a local paper the League’s Sedibeng regional structure spokesman, Thabiso Hlongwane called on law enforcement agencies to take action against those responsible for the leaking of the mapona tape. He also says that the ANC Youth League is unhappy over Lesetja Seloane’s attitude towards the video after he said he didn’t owe anyone an explanation over the incident, which forms public indecency from a leader.
Thabiso Hlongwane told the local paper that Lesetja Seloane’s utterances are not only irresponsible but a display of arrogance of the highest order. He also told the paper that Lesetja Seloane must voluntarily vacate his position by resigning, failing which the ANC must institute the necessary proceedings to have him removed.
“If there is anyone who thinks I owe them an explanation for video footage that was taken (from a lost or stolen phone) some time ago that is making the rounds – involving myself and a female colleague – such person o hambe wrong-o,” says Lesetja Seloane in a Facebook posted that he issued on Tuesday morning.
Lesetja Seloane says the mapona tape was meant to dampen his spirit both as a person and a Councillor.
“I am still standing as a tried and tested product of the ANCYL, neither one of us has or will commit suicide for something as natural as consensual sexual intercourse.
