Eye-balls will be on President Cyril Ramaphosa in the Mother City (Cape Town) as he delivers his annual State of the Nation Address in Parliament today, and Number One will be wearing a pair of Skinny Sbu Socks during this year’s SONA!

In November last year, Sibusiso Ngwenya took to social media to share a video of himself giving president Cyril Ramaphosa a pair of Skinny Sbu Socks in to make sure that Cyril Ramaphosa owns a pair of his socks and that he actually rocks them.
During the time Sibusiso said that he was proud to announce that Cyril Ramaphosa is now the owner of Africa’s number 1one sock brand, Skinny Sbu Socks.

Sbu said that it was his third attempt to get to the president and gift him with a pair of his socks, while he was attending the South African Investment Conference (SAIC) last year.
“This is my 3rd attempt, they tried to stop me 2 times inside the venue… so I decided to go wait for him at the back entrance,” said Sibusiso Ngwenya.
Sibusiso Ngwenya told MGOSI.co.za that as a young person with a platform, contacts and some resources he knows that he has a responsibility to the people that raised him and who today support him by buying his product.

“So for the past two months, I have been asking the Lord to reveal to me my area of contribution. And since well I’m in the socks business, I saw it fit to attempt to raise and donate a World Record-Breaking 1 million pairs of School socks for rural and township schools,” said Sibusiso Ngwenya.
The Skinny Sbu brand is regarded as the number one premium African socks brand. It embodies an African narrative found in its unique designs which many Africans can resonate with and utilize in fashion. It is for this reason that President Cyril Ramaphosa affiliates himself with the brand.
