MGOSI has noted a telephone call received by our Editor, Greg Mqalo during the awe hours of Tuesday morning, including a WhatsApp text accusing MGOSI.co.za of receiving payments to tarnish Mr. Stanley Obiamalu’s reputation, who is apparently the ex-boyfriend.
Whether Stanley is the one who has been contacting MGOSI.co.za or not, we are not certain but the number on Trucaller displays SOS Media Productions, which Stanley is a CEO.
We can confirm that we’ve received a WhatsApp text exactly at 12:44 in the morning and it reads as follows: Hi Mqalo, you will have a few explanations to do soon!!!
- Why, how and where Stanley got involved with this 10m money-laundering scandal without any confirmation.
- You will also need to say who paid or contracted you to put out such false information about Stanley, for the benefit of another person. Goodluck.
MGOSI.co.za would like to set the record straight that our Editor’s number is in possession of Boity’s manager, Boity herself and her legal representative, Katlego Malatjie. There’s no way that Stanley could have our Editor’s numbers because we’ve attempted to call him with a landline number. We are also not concluding that the above-mentioned people might have leaked the number – we are stressing that they’re the ones who have the number.
Therefore, we shall wait for the parties concerned and we will then respond to what they will bring on the table.
“As a publication, we are not going to entertain threats from anyone. We still stand by our story and if anyone has anything to dispute in relation to the story they are welcome to come forward and we will take it from there,” says Greg Mqalo.
Our Editor is of the opinion that the person communicating on behalf of Stanley is trying to threaten the very existence of this publication and, “we are not going to take that lying down. MGOSI.co.za doesn’t pay any sources to provide us with information,” says Greg.
On Friday MGOSI.co.za ran a story with the following headline:
EXCLUSIVE: Boity Thulo entangled in money laundering allegations!
FLASHY: South African television personality, rapper, actress, businesswoman, and model Boitumelo Thulo, also known as Boity is entangled in serious allegations of “money laundering” with a Nigerian businessman by the name of Stanley Obiamalu, who is apparently the ex-boyfriend.
“I’ll have my lawyers call you. Thank you,” Boity Thulo.
A few minutes later it turned out those lawyers (lawyer called later) were her manager who called us back requesting our email address to send a comment about “those things you sent to Boity,” he says.
“I’m in (sic – at) a funeral. Can’t take calls,” Boity, but MGOSI.co.za sent her a WhatsApp.
“My client categorically denies, with contempt, any allegations made by yourselves or your alleged sources,” says Boity’s legal representative, Katlego Malatjie.
It is public knowledge that Boity and Stanley have been seeing each other for more than 12-months(before their secret affair was displayed in public late 2018), this after they apparently met at Rosebank popular Club Harem – where the top of the table blessers of Joburg and outsiders usually chill.
