Award-winning Afro/Soul/Jazz singer Simphiwe Dana has acknowledged that there are many people who feel as frustrated as she does with the trajectory of the movement (African National Congress – ANC) they laid their lives down for!
And She revealed that she even contemplated moving to Canada, for they’re (ANC) looting South Africa dry!
Taking to the socials Simphiwe Dana (The Voice of Reason) wrote that if you’ve never listened to her, please listen now.
“If you’ve never listened to me, please listen now. I’m not very articulate. But I’m scared that everything is being devalued by blatant corruption! Perhaps if you see how this looting affects you directly, you will act. We’re so overwhelmed we can only make jokes hope for best,” says Simphiwe Dana.

Simphiwe Dana continued to say: “I acknowledge that there are many people who feel as frustrated as I do with the trajectory of the movement they have laid their lives down for. I honestly am a novice, and weak. They have weathered many storms. The ANC is no longer for the people. There’s still a narrow window.
“It’s important we acknowledge and grieve this fact. The same way Oliver Thambo, Chris Hani, Steve Biko, Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela, Albertina Sisulu. So many women of the movement that were never recognized and at best were crucified for their dedication.”
Simphiwe Dana says South Africa is the hope of the whole African Continent.

“Revolt! Save South Africa! It is the hope of the whole continent. We cannot allow a mafia to hijack it. Question everything. Most importantly, let our impeccable constitution guide. If there ever was an ANC post Mkhonto, it has been hijacked by mafias. I say this. Don’t revolt for alcohol and ciggies. Hold yourself to a higher standard. No politics here. Only humans. Sisters, aunties, uncles, our everyday people. I’ve said way too much. I never lied. I submarine.
“Guide us Mkhonto Wesizwe. This may seem like a rant. It’s more than that. It’s hysteria. There are many more hills to climb. I may delete this thread later today. I hate what we have become. Bahleli bonke etilongweni. Siweak. Sigreedy. People died for this shit. Imagine being so greedy that you will steal from your grandmother. Secure in the knowledge that you’re untouchable.
In tabling her frustrations, Simphiwe Dana says that we (South Africans) are at a precipice and we are too engrossed in our lives to realize the country is being pulled from under our feet.
“I’m compelled to speak like this because we are way too pacified to see where we are. And this is my last stop. I hate being a sister soldier. I want an island.

“We have been using humor to escape our reality. And this is well and good. We are human. Madiba said there are many more hills to climb. He was passing on the baton. I hate politics. But I love my country. The past few days I contemplated moving to Canada, for they’re looting SA dry. The governing party’s members are looting the country dry. With impunity. I’m embarrassed. I’m sure there are many ANC members who feel the same as I do,” says Simphiwe Dana.
Acknowledging that all governments are corrupt Simphiwe Dana says: “Most (Governments) are elegant that citizens never feel the corruption because all their woes are addressed. ALL governments are corrupt. Stealing from starving people is the very reason I will vote you out. embarrassed to narrate this to my grandkids Shame on you.”
