Simphiwe Dana is still faithful after her mother who is a retired nurse has been diagnosed with COVID-19. She said that her mom was recovering at home!inger
On Tuesday Simphiwe Dana said that her mother retired to go back and work for an old age home due to nursing being her calling.
“My mom has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. She is a retired nurse who went back to work for an old age home because nursing to her is a calling. She is recovering at home and seems to be ok. She has diabetes. Still, I have faith she will pull through,” wrote Simphiwe Dana.
Simphiwe Dana’s supporters wished her mother a speedy recovery.
Simphiwe Dana is one of the local celebrities that were against the reopening of Schools and Churches as an “unconscionable” move, saying (in May) that COVID-19 is airborne.
“Reopening schools and churches in the middle of a highly contagious, fast-acting, and airborne virus. I don’t mind what adults do as no one is forcing them. But forcing parents to send their kids to a possible infection is unconscionable,” wrote Simphiwe Dana.
Simphiwe Dana ignored all the efforts by people correcting her that the virus was not airborne.
Instead, she responded to a comment that said president Cyril Ramaphosa said sending kids back to school is not compulsory for parents if they are worried about safety at the school.
“So what must happen to the kids who don’t attend classes? Do they forfeit a school year while other kids don’t,” questioned Simphiwe Dana.
A doctor from Health Travellers Worldwide (video shared by a tweep) said that COVID-19 is not airborne.
The Doctor said that the answer to whether COVID-19 was airborne or not was no.
“Coronavirus is spread through droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks and these droplets are too heavy to be in the air…this COVId-19 virus cannot survive in the air they survive on surfaces,” said the doctor.
