Following minister Nathi Mthethwa’s announcement that his department will host a colloquium about the role of common indigenous languages in fostering unity, Housekeepers actor Dumisani Mbebe lashed out and said that Mthethwa must step down because he’s doing nothing in his portfolio!

“Akukho nto ayenzayo (he does nothing) except bring Masechaba who, by the way, know nothing about our industry!” Dumisani Mbebe.

Dumisani Mbebe said that the Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture has not completed the COVID-19 Relief Fund but already jumping into “common indigenous languages” – saying that whatever they were doing in his department was not right.
“Awukagqibi nale ye Covid_19 Relief Fund kodwa sowutsibela iilwimi of “common indigenous languages” … Inuka ukutsha le mbiza niyiphekayo kweli sebe!” wrote Dumisani Mbebe.

Writing in isiXhosa Dumisani Mbebe said: “Makathathe umhlalaphantsi ngokusemthethweni … Uhleli phantsi ngoku … Akukho nto ayenzayo (he does nothing) except bring Masechaba who, by the way, know nothing about our industry!”
Dumisani said Nathi Mthethwa must retire (legally) because he is sitting down now.
Dumisani Mbebe said that Nathi Mthethwa and his department know nothing and that they are just doing things as they please.

Dumisani Mbebe is not the only talent that has criticized Nathi Mthethwa’s handling of the COVID-19 Relief Fund. Simphiwe Dana has sent them numerous tweets about their processes.

Dumisani Mbebe is best known for his role as Dumisani Shabani in the SABC1 soapie Generations, from 2008-2011.
You’ll also remember Dumisani Mbebe for his leading role in the SABC1 drama series Interrogation Room and Drivers Down, including one of his great starring roles in the E.tv drama-series Shooting Stars.
Dumisani Mbebe also played as Kwezi Mthetho, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kwezi Dezign, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Inkaba.
