THIS year marked one year since Sbahle Mpisane was involved in a horrific car crash that nearly claimed her precious life and left her in an induced coma. The fitness model lost control of her vehicle during the awe hours of August 9, 2018, on Victoria Embankment in Durban. To rescue her, Paramedics had to use jaws of life to remove her from the bloody wreckage.
On Wednesday, she fitness bunny took to her Instagram to share a snap of herself with her mother Shawn Mpisane, after she woke up from an induced coma.
She says that the picture was taken a week after coming out of a 3-week induced coma (to protect her swollen brain). When she first woke up, according to her, her dad was next to her and she was crying because she just wanted to move and walk, but Sbu Mpisane held her down.
She adds that later her woman crush every day (mother) joined her and took over, wiping the tears and fears away. Her mother is her guardian angel on this earth, she says.
“Sometimes in life, you are blessed with people who come and stay in your life just to help you through the good and the bad. She has been that and then some… She gives selflessly and expects nothing in return, but a smile to show that I am ok. I admire her strength through the many public & personal storms she faces. She handles it all with grace and heavenly calmness,” she adds.
She notes that she’s eternally grateful for these characteristics that her mother possesses as they’ve informed her on every move over the past 8 months when she most needed mental strength.

“Over the years she has instilled discipline in me that allows me to believe more in myself and not wallow in my current challenges. I might not know what my tomorrow has in store for me, but this angel has given me a whole new perspective and My future frame looks beautiful,” Sbahle concludes.
