TN Joyous Celebration 24 – The Rock Easter Tour at Carnival City has been postponed after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that gatherings of more than 100 people should be avoided. And Spirit of Praise Kimberly tour has also been put on hold until later in the year!
“We are sad to announce that the MTN Joyous Celebration Easter tour has been ‘POSTPONED’ until further notice,” announced the Joyous Celebration through their official social media pages.
This cancellation comes after Cyril Ramaphosa announced the government’s strict actions in response to the COVID19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.
Pastor Benjamin Dube also announced that the Spirit of Praise Kimberly Tour has also been postponed in light of the growing concerns around the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In light of growing concerns around the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the President’s announcement, Spirit Music Group (Spirit of Praise) feels that the health and safety of its patrons, performing artists, service providers, its employees and the public at large, is of utmost importance.
“Due to the scale of the event, which draws over 3000 attendees, it is in the public’s best interest that we postpone the Spirit of Praise Kimberly tour event scheduled for the 28th March 2020 to support efforts to curb the spread of the virus,” reads a statement shared by Rev. Benjamin Dube.
Spirit Music Group also said that they have managed to secure a new date for the show – 26 September 2020.
“We are looking forward to seeing you soon, please keep safe and continue praying for our country,” reads the statement.
All tickets purchased for the Spirit of Praise Kimberly tour to date will be valid for the 26th of September show.
“If a refund is required, it can be obtained at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers, subject to their terms and conditions,” said the statement.
