Season one, episode one wedding started with Somizi and Mohale’s meaningful traditional ceremony, uniting their Zulu and Sotho cultures. Of course, it’s all done with plenty of glitz and glamour, Somhale style. – Somhale.
“Flamboyance is our tradition. I am telling you, I am also shocked. When did we get here? I thought they would pitch a tent with poles and then there would be a cow in the backyard,” said Somizi.
Mohale said that in Sotho custom they were supposed to be gifted at his family home.
“Thereafter, we will also gift Somizi’s family… At this moment I really don’t know how I feel… I’m nervous, I am scared, people are asking a lot of questions. My mom is crying and nobody knows where my blanket, hat, and stick are,” said Mohale – Somhale.

Finally, as we get more popcorn and enjoy Somhale, the gifting started with singing, walking to Mohale’s home.
“Finally, we start walking to Mohale’s house because I’ve been when are we going? When are we going? As we walk in with my daughter (Bahumi) and my aunts it’s just a beautiful feeling,” expressed Somizi – Somhale.
At the gate, they were delayed because Mohale’s uncle who was supposed to speak got “shy” and they had to prepare another uncle while Somizi’s family and friends were waiting at the gate.
“They take forever and my patience is running out because for me that’s the part of the tradition that I don’t understand, the fuss! What is the fuss about? Can they just open the gate… I would understand if someone is a virgin… We’ve done it (sex) sixty-five (65) times, what could be the delay? questioned Zomizi.
