South Africans are not having that Bahumi Madisakwane, Somizi Mhlongo’s daughter will play the late Lebo Mathosa alongside Kelly Khumalo in a biopic titled, The Lebo Mathosa Story. As locals took to social media some are claiming that Bhumi couldn’t even play herself in her father reality show, Living The Dream With Somizi.
Here’s the Tweet that messed things up:
Another Twitter user who commented replied to the above tweet says that it was a reality show. She was supposed to be herself and not imitate anyone.
But Somizi didn’t take the shade lying down as he quickly wrote a letter to his daughter (Bahumi) to strengthen her in these harsh black Twitter times.
So Somizi addressed the entire issue with a caption: Dear Daughter of mine…
“Listen! Never ever question why you get certain opportunities in life. You deserve everything and you must take anything and everything they said you would never have. f**k the haters. It’s not your fault that you’re my daughter.
“That’s a blessing that you’re my daughter (Bahumi). It’s not my will but God’s. You’re the chosen one. You’re gifted. Loving. Good-hearted. Talented and Smart. Let no troll make you believe otherwise. Never pay attention to them. They will always want to bring you to their level. LOW. Until someone above you troll you, pay no mind. I am here. Daddy loves you and will always protect you…” says Somizi Mhlongo.
Nandi Madida also vouched for Bahumi saying that in Hollywood they celebrate it when you see the next generation do amazing things aswell in the industry.
“We should do the same locally, it’s beautiful to watch a family continue a great legacy,” says Nandi Madida.
Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela always updates casting news via social media and as usual, on Wednesday he took to Twitter to post that City Press reports that Kelly Khumalo and Bahumi Madisakwane will play the late iconic Lebo Mathosa.
According to the report, Bahumi and Kelly will play Lebo Mathosa at different stages of her life in the biopic story, which will be a six-part BET Africa drama series.
People aired their clean and dirty views on the ‘issue’, which is good news to Bahumi Madisakwane.
