Kholile Elvin Gumede, better known as DJ Clock, is a South African DJ and record producer. Who, not for the first time, has landed eyeballs deep in debt.
The South African entertainer has been making rounds on social media and topping the trends list. This is follows after the DJ swallowed his pride by publicly asking for financial assistance.
It comes with no surprise to many that the entertainer has landed himself in debt again, as this is not the first time.
But then again, what is happening with South African celebrities? It looks like everyone is swimming in some sort of debt. If it is not tax then it has to do with fraud and or scamming.
Weeks after Zahara had revealed she was at risk of losing her house. Fellow muso DJ Clock also followed suit with a public appeal for money.
Just like the ‘Loliwe’ singer, the DJ has also defaulted on his home loan repayment.

DJ Clock has therefore taken to social media that he is in need of financial assistance. After revealing his home was on the brink of repossession. This is after falling behind on about R434k of monthly repayments in 2010. The increase of debt was a result of buying property in Roodepoort, West of Johannesburg.
Taking to Daily Sun, the DJ pleaded with the publication to help him save his home. He also opened up that he had taken a hard knock after the Covid-19 pandemic left him without an income.
As a result, DJ Clock began to miss his monthly obligations, particularly on his Roodepoort home. Which he bought in 2010. However, DJ Clock has hope it can all be salvaged, like Zahara who managed to stop the foreclosure on her house with the aid of the public’s generous donations.
He said in his plea: “I would appreciate it if Daily Sun could help me with the money I owe, so I can pay Absa and other debt.
“Your help will be highly appreciated as Covid-19 hit us entertainers badly”.
As mentioned, it is not only DJ Clock and Zahara who revealed or even discovered that they are drowning in debt. Celebrities are in serious distress of debt.
According to celebrity blogger Musa Khawula, singer Dr Malinga’s home had allegedly visited by the sheriff who repossessed his furniture and appliances.
