South African veteran radio broadcaster Xolani Gwala has died at the age of 44 after succumbing to a long battle with cancer.
The Gwala family confirmed the sad news that left a shockwave in Mzansi on Friday on 702.
In September 2017, Xolani Gwala confirmed that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer during an interview at his home station, 702.
Xolani Gwala is survived by his wife, former Miss South Africa, Peggy-Sue Khumalo, and two daughters.

South African celebrities and colleagues alike took to social media to pay tribute to the fallen radio and television presenter.
