DJ Maphorisa (Madumane) has acknowledged that Nigerian singer and songwriter Wizkid, real name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun put him on Amapiano 5-years-ago!

Taking to his official Facebook page, Madumane said that the first Amapiano song Wizkid heard was Wololo Remix by Calvin Fallo in Moloko, Pretoria.
“Wizkid put me on Amapiano FACTS! The first amapiano song Wiz heard was by Calvin Fallo Wololo Remix in Moloko PTA 5 years ago, that’s when Sponono by Kabza was recorded and I didn’t know Kabza that time,” said Madumane.
Madumane explained that Wizkid asked him what was “this” sound (Amapiano) because it is giving him goosebumps.
“He asked me wats this sound it’s giving me goosebumps. That’s when I really took Amapiano seriously. Listening ke good skill. Call me Madumane Lawd Ya Di Piano,” said Madumane.
Madumane has released songs such as Banyana, eMcimbini, Izolo, Tender Love, iThemba Lam, including Lorch to name just a few from his long list of hit songs.
