Tony Kgoroge’s caution comes after two actresses Lorraine Moropa and Altovise Lawrence reported a sexual harassment ordeal that took place on the set of SABC2’s telenovela Lithapo.
“Dear actor, director, producer, and crew member who’s male in gender, we need to be aware of our actions on set, specifically towards women. Our creepy actions can trigger a lot for women, most of them have gone through a lot already… let’s STOP! #BreakTheBroCode” wrote Tony Kgoroge.

Tony Kgoroge expressed that he loves the fact that the “open up the industry generation” is coming in with a clear purpose.
“Their voice is golden and needs to be protected,” wrote Tony Kgoroge.
Another actress on the same Lithapo set Nomshado Jaola also says that she experienced sexual harassment on her first day on set from the same man that has been accused of sexual harassment.
“On my 1st day on set even. I went into the green room from the wardrobe and he was sitting in there alone, I was put in a dress with a long zip in the front and he told me to open up the zip so he can see. IT WAS MY FIRST DAY EVER ON A PROFESSIONAL SET,” writes Nomshado Jaola.

Nomshado Jaola says she refused and the alleged sex predator asked her why she was making noise.
“I said “oh wow no” quite loudly and he said “manje uraselani”. I left the green room, and I never again hung out in there whenever he was in there alone. I’d always hang out with the AD downstairs and someone actually asked me why and I said it’s too hot upstairs.
“Oh and it never ended, we used to the same driver to drop us off after work, the ni##a would ALWAYS start convos about sex and use me as an example in his scenarios. He’d tell me he lives alone and the driver should just drop me at his house cause he’s bored.

“I wouldn’t hug cast and crew whenever he was around, I’d just greet and move cause, he’d linger on and squeeze during the hugs and try to kiss me on the cheek,” says Nomshado Jaola.
Nomshado Jaola says that she didn’t say anything because some “old dude” a while ago told her that if she reports sexual harassment in the industry they all tell each other about the victim, claiming that they (production companies) won’t want to work with her again because she’s a “trouble maker”.
