Former SABC1’s Uzalo actress Thobile, real name Nokuthula Mabika, is still not off the hook regarding the car accident that left a victim permanently paralyzed, as reported by Sunday Sun.

Apparently Sanele Maphalala’s family has given up hope of getting justice.
As per the report, Sanele Maphalala was knocked down by a car believed to have been driven by Nokuthula Mabika.
According to the publication, it’s been nine months since the accident, the family claim they don’t know if the case is still on, and that Nokuthula Mabika was never held accountable.

Sunday Sun also reported last year (2019) that Sanele’s mum Sibongile Maphalala opened a case at KwaMashu Police Station, hoping justice would be served, but nothing has been done.
Speaking to the publication, Sibongile Maphalala said that Nokuthula Mabika will forever have a dark cloud hanging over her head.

“My son had a bright future ahead of him. He had dreams just like any other child growing up. But everything vanished, just like Nokuthula can think she has won, but I can tell you she’ll suffer.

“I always pray that God and my ancestors avenge my son,” said Sibongile Maphalala as quoted by Sunday Sun.
According to the paper, the 18-year-old Sanele Maphalala suffered severe head injuries and ended up in a coma in August last year. The accident changed the Grade 11 pupil’s life, as he’s now mentally disturbed and walks on crutches.

“Nokuthula is roaming the streets like nothing has ever happened. But after her exit from Uzalo, I never saw her acting in any TV other production. She (Nokuthula Mabika) might think this is nothing, but she doesn’t know how strong our ancestors are. I tell you, that girl will suffer for the rest of her life.
“She messed with the wrong family. She’ll never find inner peace until she humbles herself and comes here to apologize and show she’s remorseful. Coming here won’t bring back my son’s normal life, but at least it’d do something in our hearts,” said Sibongile Maphalala – speaking to Sunday Sun.
