Season 5 of Living The Dream reached its end on July 6, with a few monotonous episodes. Information reaching Mgosi has it that viewers do not know how to feel about the season.
These mixed emotions come from the fact that many people felt as if the main focus of this season was about his failed marriage with Mohale Motaung. Though we heard Somizi’s side of the story.
However, what captured our attention was Somizi’s reaction to Riky Rick’s death. We all did not expect it.
In the last episode, Somizi and his friend Vusi Nova expressed how shocked he was when he found out about Riky’s death.
This is when Somizi added that he had a dream about the late Boss Zonke.
“Shock of my life. I was just like no way, they’re lying. Like I even tried to call his number, I called his cousin Bandile and them,” said Vusi.
Somizi then said, “I had a dream about Riky tweeting me… stop posting lies about me,” he said. Somizi added that this excited him, “I woke up all excited.”
As a person who once thought of committing suicide, he said he understood what those emotions feel like.
“Riky’s passing has really triggered some emotions because I always take it personally when someone says, ‘people who commit suicide, they’re being cowards,’ and stuff like that. For me, I have been on the verge of committing suicide. I know maybe 50 percent of what that darkness feels like. So, it triggered me,” said Somizi.
Another person to open up about Riky was Cassper Nyovest who said he thinks about Boss Zonke, everyday.
“I think about Riky Rick every single day. Not a single day can go past without me thinking about him.,” he wrote. He even gushed about how much of a beautiful man he was.
I think about Riky Rick every single day. Not a single day can go past without me thinking about him.
