“Reopening schools and churches in the middle of a highly contagious, fast-acting, and airborne virus. I don’t mind what adults do as no one is forcing them. But forcing parents to send their kids to a possible infection is unconscionable,” wrote Simphiwe Dana.
“I’m a church boy but this is irresponsible,” said Khaya Mthethwa.
Simphiwe Dana ignored all the efforts by people correcting her that the virus was not airborne.

“I will treat it as airborne until no one can cough on me and infect me,” said Simphiwe Dana after seeing the video of the doctor who was explaining how COVID-19 spreads.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said (website) that according to current evidence, the COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets and contact routes.
According to WHO in an analysis of 75,465 COVId-19 cases in China, airborne transmission was not reported.
With a lot of fake news around the spread of COVID-19 who then says the information available from organizations such as WHO is conclusive? Who will then say Simphiwe Dana is wrong and based on what tests? It’s her safety measure and if it works for her, well, what can we say? Imagine the spread if COVID-19 was indeed airborne – which means transmission through the air we breathe.
