Halewood Artisanal Spirit company spent the amount in the last fourteen years through the ever-popular Red Square DJ Knockout Challenge. The primary objective of the investment has been to inspire emerging talent with promise.

Once again, this year will see the top three DJ Knockout participants sharing R115 000 among themselves, with the first prize winner pocketing R100 000. The second and third-placed participants will respectively take home R10 000 and R5000.

The invitation is out. Entries are open to the 15th edition of the competition. Emerging DJs are welcome to participate in the challenge in their numbers just as they have done in the previous years.
The number of Red Square DJ Knockout Challenge auditions are up from just over fourty last year. Set to host about fifty-five auditions in 2021 are various lifestyle and entertainment outlets in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng.
Selaelo adds: “We appreciate the opportunity to stage these auditions. More so because in these difficult economic and pandemic times, through us, numerous individuals in communities will get a chance to make some income as judges, MCs or comperes and as service providers.”

“It is for that reason that we will make an announcement, in time, regarding the venue to host the 2021 RedSquare DJ KnockOut Challenge final,” concluded Selaelo.
