WINNING: Actress Nomzamo Mbatha has been announced as the global brand ambassador for the Cotton On Foundation!
The announcement was made on Thursday at the Ethekwini Primary School opening, Cotton On Foundation’s first supported school in South Africa.

“Cotton On Foundation Ambassador. So honored to be announced today as the Cotton On Foundation global ambassador. The announcement being in the township that raised me, KWAMASHU Durban, at the official opening of Ethekwini Primary School, kaB-Section @cottonon_africa #cottononfoundation TODAY IS A GOOD DAY,” wrote Nomzamo Mbatha.
“Today marks the community opening of Ethekwini Primary School, our first supported school in South Africa. Five years of partnership have all led to today, and we can’t wait to share the celebration with you,” wrote Cotton On Foundation on their official Instagram page.

But first, Cotton On Foundation wants you to see the journey they’ve taken with the incredible community of Ethekwini.
“We want you to see the change your support has helped create. January 2018 ➡️ January 2019 ➡️ January 2020, Ethekwini Primary School has come a long way, and we can’t wait for the community, and you, to see the full impact. Watch this space,” wrote the Foundation.

On Tuesday, Tara Stretch – Cotton On Foundation Manager in South Africa said that “I came across this picture of some children heading home in 2018. I remember this moment so clearly, as the older children had to lift the little one down the treacherous staircase… the [next] picture is a still I captured from a video I took at Ethekwini Primary School last week. These pictures, alongside each other, speak volumes to the impact of our partnership with Ethekwini.”
