Askies! Sorry! Singer Moonchild Sanelly blasts South African radio stations for refusing to play her latest offering titled Askies!

On Saturday she took her anger to social media to mobilize people to write a petition to local radio stations to play the song.
Askies is Amapiano offering by Mr. JazziQ featuring Josiah De Disciple, FakeLove, Moonchild Sanelly, and Mdu Aka Trp released early March this year (on YouTube).

“Dear SA radio stations! The way you choose to shut a woman down for celebrating our bodies and play men that talk about a$$ as objects. I have something to tell you! How about we take videos of how the song makes us feel? That could be a start! It’s more about us (women)?,” wrote Moonchild Sanelly.

Moonchild Sanelly said that women are objectified by men in songs and local radio stations play such songs, especially from international acts such as Drake.

Moonchild Sanelly is calling supporters of Askies to write a petition that says play Askies because it’s a song that makes kids and mothers confident.
Moonchild Sanelly said Askies is going to be a big song without the radio stations because it speaks to the people.
