Businesswoman Lindokuhle Nkosi is disappointed and left feeling “gravely” disrespected after she was allegedly insulted by singer Anatii, real name Anathi Bhongo Mnyango’s mother after they failed to fully compensate what is due to her for services rendered.
Speaking to MGOSI.co.za Lindokuhle Nkosi says that she got a call from someone on Anatii’s management team commissioning her to write two professional biographies/profiles for Anatii and his sister Manala.

“This was arranged by the time Uyinene’s body was found. They then asked me to expand the commission to include two ghost-written statements, a long one and a shorter one for social media,” explains Lindokuhle.
She continues to say that they agreed on turn-around time and a fee and, she began to work on these projects.
“Two weeks in, Tony Kgoroge (who plays Ngcolosi Bhengu on e.tv’s Imbewu) was roped in when they decided that the statements would be used as a concept statement for a doc. Over a few weeks, we edited the documents and came up with something everyone was happy with. I submitted my invoice and they disappeared.”

Lindokuhle Nkosi says that Anatii’s management paid R13400 instead of the R16, 000.00 she invoiced them.
“They owe me the interest that was charged for every week they were still outstanding in the payment. After accepting the work they told me that they didn’t see the invoice and I must send an itemized invoice,” says Lindokuhle.
She says she got the shock of her life when she received a call from a woman who identified herself as “Thoko” and she later found out it was Anatii’s mom.

“She called me and identified herself as Thoko from Vitom (Anatii’s management). She was upset because I had looped Vitom into the emails where I was asking about my money. She threatened me and insulted me, shouting that they would take legal action if I do not delete the tweets. I later found out that Thoko is Anatii’s mom,” she says.
Lindokuhle says she can’t remember “Thoko’s” exact insults because she was so upset.
“I actually can’t remember specifically. I was so upset. I remember her shouting and threatening me with legal action. She literally shouted the words CEASE AND DESIST into the receiver,” she says.

She continues to say, “I’m disappointed and feel gravely disrespected. There’s a certain amount of disrespect and exploitation that is built into the fiber of the arts and entertainment. But that knowledge doesn’t make it any less bad when you’re treated poorly by someone who should be on the same team as you. Like, we should be fighting for the same thing. We should be helping each other. It left me feeling hurt, winded and in a financial mess I should not have been in and would not have been in If they had honored their word.”
Lindokuhle told MGOSI.co.za that she took them to the cleaners and the matter is legal and “ugly”.
She says she initially charged them R12.50 per word and she discounted them to R10.00 per word after negotiations for the need to cut her rate.
MGOSI.co.za is in possession of an email with an invoice attached sent to Anatii’s managment, including the 25% (email body) interest charged for each week payment is late.

We’ve also seen an email from one of Anatii’s team members known to this publication, which reads as follows: “Apologies for the delayed response. We were unaware we would receive an invoice from you and we were consulting our legal team on how to move forward with this matter. May we resolve this amicably and re-negotiate the invoice fee.”
“This matter is being handled by our lawyers. Sorry no comment thank you,” says Eza Tshangela of Vitom Holdings.
