“After much deliberation since the story of our relationship broke in public, I wish to state that we have been trying to sort our problems amicably and in private for almost a year now and it has been the most heartbreaking and challenging period,” says DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo.
DJ Black Coffee says that as much as there are two sides to every story he will not discuss their private life in public.
“As much as there’s two sides to every story I will not discuss our private life in public, let aline speak ill of my partner or my in-laws, as this can only hurt the people we both love dearly,” says DJ Black Coffee.
DJ Black Coffee says that as Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa stated, their priority is to protect their children at this point.
“This is now a court matter, we ask for privacy,” says DJ Black Coffee in a statement issued via his social media pages.
On Sunday Enhle Mbali took to her Instagram to confirm that she was indeed getting a divorce with Black Coffee.
“I woke up this morning to an article. I have been called by Journalists a lot lately and I’ve stuck to my no comment and it works for me but I woke up today to something that was extremely personal that I have handed over to the court. It has now made it to the papers. The situation that is happening right now in my life is indeed happening but I would also just like a lot of space with regards to questions and so forth,” says Enhle Mbali.
“I do believe in every way that the South African system is a fair one and our justice system has been built around creating fair decisions for those who can’t make amicable decisions,” says Enhle.
She says it has been a very long couple of years for her and in all of that all she asks is for silence not for her or anyone else but for her children.
“Everything I have done to this day is to protect my children. All I ever tried to do was to be a great wife. A supportive wife… One that is respectful to my partner and everyone that is around him.
“I have now in me a fight that I never understood but I understand why it was placed in me at this point in my life. It has been a very very rough year but I still stand tall and proud,” says Enhle Mbali.
