“Furthermore, there is a context under which the decision was undertaken, but many commentators have left that aspect out conveniently. Grace Bible Church stands by the resolution,” reads a statement issued by Grace Bible Church on Wednesday.
The Grace Bible Church Bishop’s Council said that they hope people will respect the decision of the church and stop the malicious attacks on the Presiding Bishop, Mosa Sono that have become very personal.

“We hope people will respect the decision of the church and stop the malicious attacks on the Presiding Bishop that have become very personal. Yours in Christ. GBC Bishop’s Council,” said the church.

Brenda Mtambo had an issue when Bishop Mosa Sono started to compare musicians with car guards, forgetting that those he mentioned such as doctors who volunteer have full-time jobs, and, that musicians/artists survive by using their craft.
On Tuesday Brenda Mtambo said that she doesn’t sing at church, serve or anything.

However, she was disturbed by Bishop Mosa Sono’s comparison of musicians and car guards.
“I don’t sing at church or serve or anything. This, however, is disturbing me. Imagine the time and skill these musicians bring to be compared to car guards… don’t attack me but I disagree with all due respect,” Brenda Mtambo wrote.

“We had great Instrumentalists who were serving here but some of them because they are session musicians they needed to be paid, and nothing wrong with that. I must say they’ve served us very well but I just realized that our church is growing and we have many churches now.

“If we gonna start paying Instrumentalists it’s not sustainable Comrades… Not only that, in our church we serve through volunteerism, that’s the DNA of Grace Bible Church – volunteers. Now, to me, there’s no difference between a musician and a parking attendant… There’s no difference, they are all volunteers,” said Bishop Mosa Sono.
Bishop Mosa Sono said that musicians volunteer and you see them on stage, it does not mean they are more important than anybody.
Grace Bible Church didn’t mention Brenda Mtambo in their statement, instead, they generalized the whole issue.
