South African hip hop powerhouse, AKA’s Fees For All Mega Concert has been postponed to a further date, it was scheduled to take place at the Tickekpro Dome, Northgate in Johannesburg on February 15.

On Wednesday AKA announced on The Kings Suite with DJ Naves and Sphectacula on Metro FM that Fees For All Mega Concert will be scheduled for a later date in the middle of the year.
AKA, who was on holiday alone also said that it’s been a crazy start to the year, he had to go on holiday alone; confirming the break-up with baby-mama, DJ Zinhle.
“… I went on a very cold holiday. As people might have noticed it’s my first holiday being a single man for many, many years,” said the Supa Mega.

“We have to postpone Fees For All Mega Concert and do it in the middle of the year. It’ll be bigger and better. We want to make sure we have proper structures set up. Like the NGO, the board,” said AKA.
The rapper also said that they need to also make sure that they will have a successful distribution of the proceeds that they will make from the concert.
In December, AKA performed at about 35 shows, which also might be the result he suffered a serious knee injury.
“I’ve been suffering from a serious knee injury which I need surgery for next year (2020), and a couple of personal things all the while trying to deal with all the weight and expectations that come with being ‘AKA’,” he wrote.

“We need to make sure the concert is not the end of the funding but a start of funding that will also fund students in 2021,” said AKA.
AKA said the main reason behind the Fees For All Mega Concert is to give back to the community.
The Fees For All Mega Concert is a benefit event aiming to raise funds for students to further their education, which is a subsidiary of Mega Fees Foundation which is set up as a public NPO by AKA, who is one of SA’s top musician and one of the most influential personalities.

AKA said that all proceeds, including ticket sales, public pledges, private sector donations, sponsorship and, merchandise sales will fund the fees of the students in need.
Now, using his personal brand image, AKA is aligning with South African corporate partners and artists to put together one of the best local line-up musical showcase of 2020.

AKA is one of the artists that has now established himself so much that he does what he wants at his own pace.
His success has proven that following the concept of “doing me” works just fine without having to replicate anyone or prove who does it better.

AKA who spoke “as a single” man also said his 32nd birthday tour will kickstart next week.
He also said that he was open for business this year in terms of collaborations with other artists.
“I want to work with Kabza and Maphorisa, especially Kabaza,” said AKA.
