Since the passing of her husband, former Our Perfect Wedding presenter, Kayise Ngqula is struggling to make ends meet as she’s a single mother with no job or income. On Monday said she won’t be able to sleep because she’s hurt and that her depression has reached a whole new level because finally, someone (referring to Vatiswa Ndara) took a stand for ‘us’ (actors/creatives).
She says that she is now a widower, a single mother with no job or income to take care of herself and fatherless son. Kayise Ngqula says she is disappointed by the entertainment industry that she gave herself to.
“All I want to make mention of at this point is that I have not had a proper paying job since my last TV gig. My husband held our family down all these months of me not working, with a newborn baby. Now he is no longer around, can you imagine what my situation is like,” says Kayise.
“I may be considered “new” to the creative industry but I too have felt the wrath of its unfairness,” she says.
She says that it is because she’s new that she has never spoken in fear that she too will one day be blacklisted.
“Producers told me to my face that if I so much even tried to cause trouble or be a DIVA, I’d be replaced so quickly because as producers they talk and I wouldn’t be hired again,” says Kayise Nqgula.
On Tuesday she says that she did not sleep at all because she is devastated and it’s all coming back to hit her again.
Kayise’s husband Farai Sibanda, who she had been married to for 10 months at the time of his death, died in June after succumbing to injuries sustained from a car accident that happened in Sandton City on Father’s Day.
According to reports, Kayise Ngqula was traveling with her husband at the time of the accident and she suffered some fractures.
It was also reported in August that she was entangled in a bitter dispute with her brother-in-law and two of her slain husband’s baby mamas over his assets.
Apparently the dispute was so intense to a point that Kayise dragged her brother-in-law Tawanda Sibanda to the Randburg magistrate’s court claiming that he was harassing her and was also a danger to her life.
The mother of one is the winner of Our Perfect Wedding Presenter Search 2017 and she regards herself as a dream chaser, a creative and also an actress.
“Before being involved in a car accident that left me severely injured I was part of an amazing cast (ITHEMBA) to tell this great story,” shares Kayise Ngqula via her Instagram stories.
