ZIMBABWE’S founding president Robert Mugabe has died at age 95. The statesman dies two years after leaving office, Robert has been confirmed slain on September 6th, 2019 after a lengthy stay in a Singapore hospital. The current sitting president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa on Friday announced on Twitter that it is with the utmost sadness that he announce the passing on of the Republic’s founding father and former president.

“Cde Mugabe was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” says Emmerson.
Grace Mugabe once said, “My husband will rule from his grave,” we’ll wait to see that affirmation.
“Zimbabwean opposition leader has expressed shock over the death of former president Robert Mugabe. I am fuc***g shocked by his shock that he has expressed,” says comedian David Kau on Twitter.
“A great idealist. A bad executor. It’s a love-hate thing here. To the next life,” says rapper Gigi Lamayne.

Robert is one of the men who led his nation to independence from the British through then liberation movement Zanu PF, his legacy proved to be problematic following three decades of authoritarian rule.
