Zola 7 is a South African poet, actor and Kwaito musician born in the Soweto ghettos of Johannesburg.
You would remember Zola 7 when he used to have a show named after him, on SABC 1.
His show was canned in 2010 due to allegations of bad publicity involving violence against women.
Zola 7 is also known for his hard-hitting portrayal of the gangster Papa Action in the second season of the SABC 1 drama series Yizo Yizo.
In 2011, Zola 7 appeared in his own docu-reality series Rolling with Zola on w.tv, which documented his life and his search for six new South African musicians.
Early 2015 Zola 7 had a starring role as Isaac on the Vuzu Amp original series Ayeye. In May, his character appeared in the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya in a series crossover story arc which also saw Thapelo Mokoena’s character from the Ayeye (JK) joining Isibaya at the same time (TVSA).
Also in the same year, he was the host of the Mzansi Magic docu-reality series Utatakho, which focused on resolving issues of paternity using DNA testing – similar to the American reality television series, Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court.
Fans said that the collaboration between the two mega-stars would be a classic one, saying that they would love to see it happening.
