SOS released did a rap remix on DJ Maphorisa’s Emcimbini hit song.
“What inspired me to do that Maphorisa song is the fact that I am his big fan and I have always wanted to get a sense of what it would be like to jump on one of his songs. Emcimbini was the one song that I loved and wondered how it would sound with a rap verse in it,” says SOS.
DJ Maphorisa saw the remix and gave it a nod by sharing it with a caption ‘???’, “It was a dream come true for me because I wanted him to hear it,” shares the rapper.
The young rapper is a brand ambassador for a clothing brand called Native Element.
SOS started his music career at the age of 16 drawing inspiration from the likes of Eminem, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake to name just a few.
He says that the stage name SOS was an emergency as he was in the studio for the first time and he had to urgently come up with a name, which was also influenced by his childhood nickname SOSI.
