Amapiano artist, Sipho Mbonambi popularly known as Mfana Kah Gogo has reportedly been involved in a car accident with his team on Saturday, February 25, in Durban.
According to Zimoja, the car accident occurred not far from Artisan, in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). This is where he was set to have a listening session for his forthcoming album titled Inzalo Ka Sikabopha.
Mfana Kah Gogo was with three members from his team when the accident took place and his driver Mavuso Shabalala is badly injured. Allegedly fighting for his life in hospital.
“We were on the way to the gig when the accident happened. My DJ was hurt, but he got discharged today. My producers are also okay but the driver needs our prayers.
“I got a few scratches, nothing major. The driver dislocated his shoulder and hurt his foot,” said Mfana Kah Gogo.
The 19-year-old who had just started the year on a good note after he passed his matric and pursuing his music career says he knows that these happen. However, it will not stop him from succeeding.
He also believes that Shabalala will soon recover and ready to rock with prayers.
“I believe that he will be okay, with prayers,” he says.

The Amapiano sensation also took to Twitter on Sunday, February 26, ensuring fans and followers that he is okay but his driver is badly hurt.
This is what he wrote: “Last nite I was involved in a car accident, I was on my way to my debut album launch. I’m fine but my driver and DJ are in a critical condition. Please pray for Sikabopha Gang.”

Considering that his listening session was supposed to happen real soon after his debut album drop on February 24. It is now said to be postponed by his manager.
“We don’t know as yet whether we are postponing or canceling but we will know once everyone has fully recovered. We are glad that everyone is okay, we just pray that all goes well with the drive.”
Mfana Kah Gogo said: “We will still host a listening session as soon as everyone is good. Nothing will stop us.
“I know with blessings also come challenges and we still overcome this one. We just ask for prayers.”
