“We are still demanding to MUTE and CANCEL AKA. We want the truth to be told so that Nellie’s spirit can rest,” says Women For Change.
In relation to Anele Tembe’s death, the Sunday World has previously reported that a source revealed to the publication that AKA allegedly told the said source that they arrived at the hotel after his performance and a fight broke out between the two.
According to the paper’s source, AKA did not reveal what triggered the fight between them, but he sustained injuries to his hands during the alleged scuffle.

It is alleged that AKA video-phoned Anele Tembe’s cousin and explained to her that Anele was fighting with him, and even showed her the injuries sustained on his hands.
The publication’s source alleged that AKA then handed his cellphone over to Anele Tembe to talk to her cousin who wanted to calm her down and then he went to the loo. The allegations are that she jumped off the balcony while she was talking to her cousin.
On May 10, Women For Change demanded that all Radio Stations, TV Stations, Spotify SA, YouTube, Apple Music, and Cruz Vodka to mute AKA with immediate effect.
“Mute AKA music on your #Spotify #AppleMusic #YoutubeMusic Account or other streaming platforms. It is overdue to show South Africa once and for all that women matter! We want justice for Nellie!” said Women For Change.

On Tuesday, MGOSI.co.za reported that in a chilling email sent to MacG’s Podcast and Chill, it is alleged that AKA allegedly introduced Nellie Tembe to a life of drugs and alcohol.
“Hi, my name is anonymous from the Tembe family in KZN. I am writing this to you hoping in prayer that you will tell the truth. I feel very disappointed and hurt about the Nellie situation. I feel we cannot ignore, to tell the truth, Nellie was suffering in a relationship, she struggled with cheating and abuse from Kiernan. It started last year (2020) she had mentioned to me that she tried to take her life after finding out he was sleeping with other women.
