Without getting it twisted, Cassper Nyovest said that the fans know that he’s an elite MC, alluding that it’s the so-called gatekeepers or tastemakers who tried to create the narrative that he can’t rap.
“NYOVEST is true lyricists, he is tooooo DOPE. Understands all the elements of rapping, applies them, his delivery is colossal, kills a concept, crazy punchlines, etc, TRUST ME. Umrepha onsweeeempu loya (He’s a brilliant rapper). I have nothing to gain by saying this, so TRUST,” applauded rapper Zakwe on MGOSI.co.za’s comment section.
“Shout out to Zakwe for the flowers. Let’s not get it twisted doe, the fans know I’m an elite Mc. It’s the so-called gatekeepers or tastemakers who tried to create the narrative that I can’t rap because they were not fans of my music and the fact that I make dance music too,” said Cassper Nyovest.
Rap City SA agrees with Zakwe, saying that a lot of South African hip-hop fans believe that Cassper Nyovest is not so much of a great rapper but a great businessman.
“Cassper is the best Rapper! A lot of heads in the game won’t give him that because his punchlines are most of Setswana and most of ’em nikkas are Zulu/Xhosa. Hip Hop music has 3 categories: Rap, Soft Rap, and Underground. Nyovest gave us all that,” said Mosekimang Taunyane @T_Loquacious.
“Cass is so dope. Look at how those Major League DJs every song they did with him is fire and not just them but he is doing very well,” said @Proudly012.
Meanwhile, others have accused Zakwe of buying Cassper Nyovest’s face.
“Zakwe is tripping everyone knows that Casper can’t Rap,” said @Mavukayibambe2.
“It’s one and the same even Zakwe is not that good… way overrated because he said something special on 2 trucks out of 20 mxm even @Mtekza is a better lyricist than both of them combined,” said @TruthMustbeTol4.
Cassper Nyovest has been retweeting tweeps suggesting that his bank balance at FNB is R1 963 595 639.
Late last year (2020) Cassper Nyovest released his latest and 5th offering Any Minute Now (AMN)
“Please sit down with it. Listen to it, understand it, question it, embrace it, protect it. I love it sooo much. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my baby [HERE],” said Cassper Nyovest.
