Vusi Nova, real name Vusi Nongxa in paying homage to fellow musician and friend, Thami Shobede, Vusi says that one of the things he will ‘probably’ regret is procrastinating hitting the studio and record a song with Thami.
And he’s still reeling from shock following Thami’s sudden death.
The Port Elizabeth born Afro-Soul singer says he’s going to miss Thami’s random calls, his sarcasm, his big smile and most of all just hanging out and jamming.
Speaking to MGOSI.co.za on Friday morning, Vusi Nova says he is still in shock by the sudden passing of Thami and he still thinks he will wake up and hear a different story.
“I’m still trying to take in the whole thing, man. It’s terrible and he was just in his early 30s. For now, I can’t really think straight. One thing that is eating me so bad inside is that he kept on calling me to do a remix for his song and I kept procrastinating. He felt like the song ‘I Love You‘ needed my touch to blow up,” Vusi Nova tells MGOSI.co.za.
Vusi Nova says the song Thami wanted to do a remix with him is his favourite and he is regretting not doing that remix.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would lose you. Will do my best to celebrate your life and not be sad about your sudden departure. I Love you ntwana yam (my brother) and may you rest in eternal peace,” says Vusi Nova via his Instagram page.
Vusi Nova tells us that he’s still going to celebrate Thami’s life whether via song or anything but he doesn’t know for now as he’s still reeling from shock.
Vusi Nova tells MGOSI.co.za that the late Thami never took a no for an answer.
“He will just pop in my house without telling me and that’s one of the things I don’t like because I have to prepare for my visitors in advance,” says Vusi Nova.
