After 7 years of being at the leading youth radio station in South Africa, Radio Broadcaster and Philanthropist Tshepi Mabulana hangs her radio mic at YFM!

“After 7 long beautiful years at YFM, today is my last day and last show on YFM. Thank you to that one person in that panel (I still don’t know who you are) who gave me a chance even after my horrendous interview when I applied to be an intern, I hope you secretly look at my journey and say ‘I’m glad I gave her a shot’,” – Tshepi Mabulana.
Having hosted various shows since joining the station in October 2013, co-hosting the 2-time radio award-nominated show The Best Drive, the 29-year-old presenter has made the decision to bid the station farewell.

“This is rightly an end of an era for me. Having started at YFM in my early 20’s and leaving in my 30’s is truly a reflection of a beautiful journey”, says Tshepi Mabulana.
Tshepi Mabulana says that she’ll always be grateful for the opportunity that YFM trusted her with.
“Thank you to the YFM management for allowing me to be myself on that mic for many years, I will always be grateful for the opportunity that I was trusted with. My next journey awaits me and I’m very excited about my future in the radio space and pursuing other exciting ventures outside of radio,” expresses Tshepi Mabulana.

There is no doubt that Tshepi Mabulana’s future looks bright, ending her journey with the station and having been part of a formidable youth drive time show in GP.
The YFM team wishes Tshepi Mabaluna nothing but affluence and growth – “Tshepi’s work ethic, charisma, passion, and natural broadcast talent propelled her journey with YFM from Y Academy intern to Afternoon Drive co-host in just three years,” says YFM Managing Director, Haseena Cassim.

Haseena says that they will miss Tshepi Mabulana’s energy and her ability to connect with anyone she comes into contact with.
“We will miss her energy and her ability to connect with anyone she comes into contact with. We wish her only the best in her new venture and trust she knows that her YFM family are rooting for her”, shares YFM’s Haseena Cassim.
Tshepi’s farewell show will be on Wednesday, March 25th, 2020.
