South African comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah has voiced out how “horrible” are lockdowns and that almost many governments have not handled this pandemic well!

Responding to an article by Newsweek which was headlined: “COVID lockdowns have no clear benefit vs other voluntary measures, international study shows…”
“If people actually read this article and not just the clickbait headline they’ll also read that multiple studies have shown that the lockdowns have actually saved millions of lives and also comparing construed responses isn’t an accurate measure,” wrote Trevor Noah.
Newsweek reported that a study evaluating COVID-19 responses around the world found that mandatory lockdown orders early in the pandemic may not provide significantly more benefits to slowing the spread of the disease than other voluntary measures, such as social distancing or travel reduction.

“We all agree that these lockdowns are horrible and we want them to end now and we can almost all agree that many governments haven’t handled this pandemic well. But let’s not act like this thing is just black and white,” wrote Trevor Noah.
Meanwhile, the Twitter midnight/early morning gang have started a hashtag #WelcomeHomeTrevorNoah – obviously claiming that Trevor Noah is coming back to South Africa. He has not confirmed nor said anything about his welcome back home.

Trevor Noah has been very vocal, including using the hashtag #TrumpBanned numerously. This has opened assumptions that Trevor is the one who is actually banned from the United States of American.
