On Wednesday the CEO of Miss South Africa, Stephanie Weil announced that the organizers of the pageant have not yet announced its panel of judges nor evaluated any of the entries received!

Stephanie Weil made it very clear that their rules state that any semi-finalist or finalist may not have been involved in any unsavory or unethical incidents or conduct that may bring the organizers or the Miss South Africa pageant into disrepute.
“Unsavory or unethical conduct includes, but is not limited to, bribery, racism, sexism, slander or libel,” said Stephanie Weil.
Stephanie Weil said that there is good governance in place to ensure that Miss South Africa finalists and semi-finalists align with their values.

“Entries for this year’s competition opened on May 11 and close on May 31, 2020, at midnight. The organizers have not yet announced its panel of judges nor evaluated any of the entries received. We only assess entrants once the deadline for submissions has closed,” said Stephanie Weil.
Stephanie Weil also said that once they have a selection of potential semi-finalists they run the necessary background checks.

The statement comes as clarity after Black Twitter called for Bianca Schoombee’s head and that she must not even be considered for Miss South Africa.
Meanwhile, Sync Models representing Bianca Schoombee said that they have taken the matter very seriously and have taken into consideration that the tweets are 7-6 years old.
