Riky Rick has taken to the social to make it crystal clear that he’s not about defending AKA when it comes to the twar between him and businessman Sizwe Dhlomo!outh African hip hop artist and businessman
He said that the beef between AKA and Siz was “whack”.
“Ya’ll making this about defending AKA, it’s not. If you watch the full live (Instagram), I clearly said I DON’T agree with some of the things AKA says and does. For me, I’m just noticing how as a culture we always let people (Sizwe Dhlomo) that aren’t with us in the trenches s*** on artists,” wrote Riky Ricky.
Riky Rick said that his views were not about picking sides.
“This not about picking sides. Siz has done ALOT and we look up to him for how he’s built up what he has. Can’t take anything away from his journey. Brothers like that are needed in the trenches to build the culture. Especially rn as the system collapses for all artists,” expressed Riky Rick.
Riky Rick said that he spoke to AKA personally via the phone about the SNEAKA Reebok deal.
“For Siz to really get involved on that level it’s like… You make your money somewhere else… You don’t make money in rap. It’s like stop coming for the rappers… If you love this culture build the culture. But don’t come for nig**s. Don’t try to make nig**s look weak or lesser than you because they still trying to figure it out too. We all trying to figure it out. We haven’t figured it out like you have. We not on your level. We don’t have farms,” said Riky Rick in a Live Instagram session with fellow rapper Da L.E.S on Tuesday.
On Sunday Sizwe Dhlomo was spitting fire when he said that AKA’s bills are settled by girls.
This was after AKA (without mentioning Sizwe) tweeted that Siz was riding tractors and calling people “ninjas” while wearing bootleg cut jeans.
