Rapper Stogie T, real name Tumi Molekane says that what he found amazing about Prokid was how he ticked every box as an MC!

“What I found amazing about Prokid was how he ticked every box as an mc. He battled, he freestyles, made hits, had the personality of a superstar, told stories, represented his people, and played the commercial game like a mogul. Nothing he couldn’t do. Devastating loss” wrote Stogie T.
Prokid, real name Linda Mkhize was born on the 22 of June 1981 and died on August 8, 2018.

Prokid sometimes referred to as PRO was a South African rapper, MC, and producer known for his rhymes in English and local township vernacular also known as Kasi rap speaking on real-life issues.

Prokid has been in numerous battles with other local MC’s, including the much-publicized battle with 2rinity member Kaydo on Joburg’s YFM.
Prokid released his debut album Heads & Tales in 2005, followed by DNA in 2006, Snakes & Ladders, and Dankie San.
According to a statement released by his family then, Prokid died after he suffered a severe seizure.

A report by Drum Magazine noted that the rapper suffered a hemosuccus pancreaticus – which is a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Speaking to Drum Magazine ProKid’s cousin Nhlanhla Mohlauli (then) said: “We are feeling so much better. It ended the speculations and the wrong statements in the media that he died because of drugs and alcohol abuse. They (results) proving that it was none of that.”
