While some Songs are obvious, some are not really. How many songs across these popular genres are actually sampled and we just don’t know. Or maybe we do, and we like the sample version better!
To start off we have the breathtaking Uncle Waffles Who has just officially dropped her very first EP Red Dragon. It is definitely one for the books! We love every single song on the EP and the Cover Art is to die for. We heard a song that sounds very familiar in the EP. Yes, you’re right, the song Love I Need sounds a lot like Destiny by Malaika. We are here for bringing back a classing and making it a relevant piano song! Props to waffles for pulling it off!

Khuli Chana Ft Tyker ICU, Stino Le Thwenny and Lady Du Buyile is sample of the Arthur Seng Buyile. Which is an obvious one from the beat, lyrics to even the music video. We love to see Kwaito songs being brought back and modernized.
Lastly we have an obvious lyric “sample”. The hit song Abo Mvelo Daliwonga ft. Mellow, Sleazy and MJ has a lyric reference to the classic hit Trompies feat Lebo-magasman. Although this is an intentional reference. We’re just letting the young two thousands know where the number one song they’re dancing to all over TikTok comes from.
