FRANKLY SPEAKING: UYAJOLA 9/9 host Jub Jub, real name Molemo Maarohanye should be doing something that can aid in building South Africa, instead of destroying more families, as if he didn’t traumatise us enough for the murder of four children, with the 2012 murder conviction being eventually overturned and reduced to an eight-year sentence for culpable homicide in 2014.
This has left permanent damage (adding trauma) to the families of those that their lives were cut short, due to his carelessness, with the alleged drag-racing and that he had allegedly used substances on the day of the incident.
The four boys that could have been bread-winners, future leaders that were killed in the incident were Prince Mohube, Mlungisi Cwayi, Andile Mthombeni, and Phomello Masemola. Frank Mlambo and Fumani Mushwana were left permanently brain-damaged! Yet, Jub Jub is still traumatising more families, invading privacy, causing more harm than repairing these relationships – as it is done by Nyan’ Nyan on SABC – reconcile the couples instead of adding more fuel to the already existing bitter situation.
I am of the opinion that if not all, some of Uyajola 9/9 episodes are acted out and paid for (as it was alleged before). I am from this point of view, that before one films you, especially when it comes to PRIVATE CITIZENS, they need a release form that gives consent for that filming process to take place. So, how does Uyajola 9/9 does it? How do you get permission to film someone that you’ve ambushed?
As much as this is reality television, Jub Jub being at work and all that. How long are we going to monetize black pain? When are we going to realise that black pain is being used for ratings? We as blacks, we should shy away from the tendency of making a mockery of our own misery!
He personally should be doing a show that deals with ex-jailbirds like himself in terms of reconnecting them back with society. Something like, You’ve Changed 9/9. This way he will be showing us that he doesn’t deal with things that destroy people’s families, things that affect children, especially when they’re watching their parents fight like cats and mouse on that bloody show.
The BIG QUESTION is the long term effects that these children will suffer. Imagine being mocked by other children at school that your mother or father has been cheated on. What coping mechanism can these children use going forward? When they’re going to be bullied about the bedroom affairs of their parents? Jub Jub himself is a parent and he should know better!
You’ve traumatised enough families and some of us still feel you still belong behind bars, yet you’re here destroying more families! This doesn’t gel well with me and I know a lot of people will agree with everything that I’ve penned down here.
- Heart attack gives Marawa a forced leave!
- DJ Tira won’t be performing in Vhembe District until further notice
You’ve Changed 9/9 should be your next project. This will aid in helping South Africa become a better place. It will help in the rehabilitation of ex-convicts back into the community. A show that will travel a journey of forgiveness and counseling those that are affected by what you also did Jub Jub when four future leaders died at your mercy!
Uyajola 9/9 is just a ruthless television show and nothing else. That show focuses on “I know my rights, but how do I get protected by the Constitution”. They invading the privacy of the poor private citizens of this country.
Obviously, there are children involved here and I am worried about the pain it has caused those featured already. The show continues to monetize black pain, Jub Jub himself has caused great harm to families of those poor kids who died – what more pain can he cause? This is pure black pain monetised, especially of those that do not understand they do have rights that protect their privacy.
