“I am no longer with the Tree. I am working on my own record label. I need to be able to stand on my own feet. Funny enough, I was actually scared to tell Cass. Even after I told him, I could feel that he was a bit sad, but we are good,” said Nadia Nakai.
The founder of Slikour OnLife, Siyabonga Metane (40) popularly known as Slikour, questioned the award-winning rapper, Nadia Nakai, about whether she is still a part of the record label as he has noticed how the rapper does not mention anything that has to do with the ‘Tree’ lately, as a referral to the record label.
Nadia Nakai mentions that she is currently focused on establishing her own record label. The rapper goes on to state that she was a tad bit shaky on informing Cassper Nyovest about her decision to part ways with Family Tree.
Nadia Nakai continues to state that Nyovest is in support of her decision. Cassper Nyovest made an effort to assist her in deciding on a name for her up-and-coming record label, as well as the proceedings of developing one. The name “Nakai Records” was suggested by the Family Tree founder. Nakai does not want her name to be a part of the title of her record label.

The award-winning rapper continues to say that her relationship with the Family Tree founder is good, and their egos will never clash as a relationship in the entertainment industry is different when it draws down to the different genders.
