Veteran actor, Vusi Kunene will tonight make his first appearance on Mzansi Magic’s newest telenovela Gomora as Rodney Mkhize!

Gomora is back on your telly following an abrupt stop in production due to the national lockdown as a result of COVID-19.
Vusi Kunene joins the likes of Katlego Danke, Zolisa Xaluva, Siphesihle Ndaba, Themba Ndaba, Connie Chiume, and Tembi Seete to name just a few.
Vusi Kunene is said to be joining the cast to portray confident, successful, and rich Rodney Mkhize.

Kunene is popularly known for his role in Generations The Legacy as Jack Mabaso and starred in Isibaya as Bhekifa Ntshangase Ngubane.
It was also reported that Vusi Kunene joined the show for a “short term”.
Rodney Mkhize, the long time best friend of Mbongeni (played by Themba Ndaba), runs a tech company that owes most of its success to Mbongeni’s money and connections. From the very moment he met Thathi Ndaba (played by Katlego Danke), Rodney Mkhize never made his desire for her a secret.

Rodney Mkhize is a fav with Thathi Ndaba’s children, he is that uncle who can never be wrong. We all know that uncle who always shows up at school activities when our dear fathers couldn’t be bothered.

Gomora follows a story of a woman who manages to escape from her lowly, humble township roots and makes it big as a hotshot Sandton socialite. But then, a series of events leads it all to come crashing down around her and suddenly she’s back where she started, in the hustle and bustle of Alexandra township which, although just down the road from her previous life, feels like a million miles away. And then she finds herself at the heart of its underworld.
