After the blogger had posted a picture and captioned it “Bonang Lite” on twitter during the Durban July weekend, Lerato had some few things to get off her chest about the blogger.
Lerato Kganyago, says that years ago the blogger bullied the DJ and she let it slide, “many years ago I let you slide with your bullying, and you know who had sent you”, Lerato claims someone had sent Musa to bully her years ago.
She continues mentioning criminal charges of the blogger, “you’ve got criminal charges from 2013 of drug trafficking, robbery”. The DJ emphasises that the blogger has been convicted of the charges against him.

Musa Khawula the controversial blogger is known for tweeting vile information and sharing information to the public without fact check. The DJ shares in a tweet that the blogger tweets about people while living in his grandmothers back room, “your 2 ID numbers won’t hide who you are! Tweeting vile things about people from your grandmother’s back room, KZN isn’t as big as you think”.

Additionally, Lerato Kganyago adds that Musa and another person who is a celebrity bullied her, “you and your celeb friend tried to make my life uncomfortable, and I told you I will get you!” she tags the blogger and tells him that she is not one to be messed with.
After countless twitter users had tagged Lerato, she replies to a tweet and says Musa is the one that gave people a platform to undermine her, “my target is on one person only, the person that gave people wings to undermine me and my hard work, on this platform.
Him and his friend left a very dark cloud in my life many years ago”. The controversial blogger tweeted that Lerato always joined jobs after Bonang Matheba left them, “remember when Bonang was at Live amp? Guess who took her job right after”.
Lerato replied saying that his facts are not straight as she left live amp after Pearl and Loot Love. After the DJ demanded to not be disrespected but criticised. The blogger went on and said he will not retract what he said and will continue calling Lerato, Bonang Lite.

In a clip that trended on twitter, Lerato sat down with MacG and she mentioned that she is tired of people not crediting female DJs. The DJ feels that she is always credited for being a good presenter but not a DJ as it a male dominating industry.
The DJ says that “they never give props to women” and she claims that women never speak about as they want to be liked by the most popular men in the industry”.
Kganyago says men are always “shy” to credit women, but women always credit the men. She asks that credit needs to be given where it is due. Bonang has not commented on the statements made that Lerato Kganyago is her copycat.
