After the premiere of Kwa Mam Mkhize on Mzansi Magic on Thursday, the viewers were left amazed by Shauwn “Mpisane” Mkhize’s bubbly personality.
And the show trended from its premiere on number 1 in South Africa and globally it was on number 7.
The show’s Director Olwethu “Olwee” Mlothswa says people have received Shauwn Mkhize so well but he didn’t see anyone commenting on the fact that she said she has interests in mining too – “which is not a tender”.

“People have received her so well. She is what I expected for them. There are women loving her divorce story. People are also looking up to the narrative of a boss black woman. I also can’t ignore that people can’t get over the money. I expected it but not at this level,” says Olwee.
Speaking to MGOSI.co.za on Friday, Olwee says he’d hope that they’ll get used to the riches so they can listen to the story because a lot of people were asking a lot of things she actually said through the episode.

“I didn’t see anyone comment on the fact that she said she has interests in mining too- which is not a tender. Overall, it was great,” says Olwee.
During the show, Mam Mkhize also revealed that Sbahle Mpisane was not her biological daughter and she met her when she was 6 or 7-years-old.
Going forward, viewers can expect to see the ins and outs of Mam Mkhize’s family, especially the football business.
As the show continues, Mam Mkhize will be taking viewers through her journey as she reclaims her life as a single woman, who happens to be a mother, a sister and, a business mogul.

“It’s centered around Mam Mkhize which goes back to her maiden surname Mkhize. In the story, you get to see her journey. She was someone’s daughter, she got married, she’s a mother and now we get to see her as a single woman,” says Olwee.
