Macc Gee has apologized to his clients and supporters of his brand after letting them down when it comes to delivery of ordered/purchased items!ounder of Macc Gee Jeans, designer and celebrity stylist
On Sunday Macc Gee was called out on social media as a scam who takes people’s money and not honor the services he offers, with some people saying they have been battling to get him to refund them after he allegedly failed to deliver jeans ordered in 2018.
“After much reflection during the last 48-hours, I recognize and accept that I have let you down. Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize. I am very sorry. I appreciate how difficult it must have been for you to deal with the lack, concealment, or non-delivery of products that you have purchased,” reads a statement issued by Macc Gee on Monday.
Macc Gee admitted that earlier on in his business he had poor back-end systems and challenges with production delays that affected his business operations severely.
“I made some decisions that led me down a rabbit hole that soon caught up with me. Such as prioritizing earlier orders at the expense of older ones. None of which was an excuse for the poor communication nor the responsibility of my clients to bear. I can admit that I was overwhelmed and at times out of my depth,” said Macc Gee.
Macc Gee said that he assures everyone that he takes all the comments with the “seriousness” they deserve and knows that his actions have not only failed him but his “valued” clients who believe in him.
“In the interest of doing right by my loyal supporters and to rebuild my brand, I have decided to effectively and immediately pause all operations for the next 7-14 working days. I will also be taking up necessary consultations and investing in resources to better manage my backlog. I will address the measures that I will put in place to ensure this does not happen again. I humbly ask for some time to gather my operations,” said Macc Gee.
Macc Gee, whose real name is Lesedi Marumo Riba said that he will in the coming days track down all his aggrieved clients, reach out to them, and provide adequate timelines to remedy the “situation” (frustrations he caused them).
Folks who were expecting Macc Gee to directly address their refunds were left hanging when there was nothing directly said about refunds.
