The music, don’t know when I’ll get to it but I will just nudge me from the heavens,” says Refilwe Modiselle via her Twitter page.
The veteran radio disc jockey, DJ Fresh says, “Gone but not forgotten! Still surreal that you’re gone,” sharing an interview clip he did with the slain HHP.
“It’s been a year since the passing of South African award-winning Musician Jabulani #HHP Tsambo, who was an advocate for African languages which he masterfully fused with substance & flow. He will forever be remembered for his contribution to the Motswako culture,” says South Africa’s Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa.
“Damn it’s been a year already. Thank you for paving the way and your major contribution to our culture. Your legacy will live on King,” says fellow muso L-Tido.
“Rest in peace HHP. It’s been a year already and yet it feels just like yesterday. One day, when the time is right, I will release the video recording we did at your house on the day that we took this picture, 18 May 2018. Thank you for trusting me with your deep thoughts and feelings,” says broadcaster, Khanyi Magubane.
“I’ll meet you in the music and lights, my friend,” says fellow musician Kabomo Vilakazi.
“I have co-executive produced over 31 multi-platinum award-winning albums (many genres). 7 albums of my own. Helped multiple brothers & sisters become successful artists and big brands in music. SA Hip Hop lyricists of all time #RIPHHP & #RIPProkid tell you on their songs about me,” says SA gaurilla marketing guru, DJ Sbu.
It was also reported that HHP’s customary wife, Lerato Sengadi has allegedly been excluded from his will after it was revealed that the musician had left his entire estate to his then 14-year-old son, Leano.
Sowetan reported that the estate included the rapper’s Johannesburg house, image rights, a multimillion-rand music catalogue and royalties from his television and radio stations.
