The entire season 2 of Isencane Lengane we have watched Thando and Siyacela’s change in behavior. They have began undergoing change as a young married couple. We have observed the way Siyacela has changed the way he speaks to his wife and he’s overall behavior towards her.
We are well aware that he has grown up in a polygamous household. But when getting married to Thando he had vowed that he did not want to get into the life of polygamy. What has changed his mind… Thando does all the duties a Zulu wife is expected to do as well as goes to school. Meanwhile Siyacela sits at home, he does not want to finish school nor does he want to work.

In Sundays Episode, he had the nerve to go down on his knee and propose to his girlfriend Manto. This is wrong in so many ways! This is not how it’s done in the Zulu culture. If it happens that a man wants to take a second wife, it is something he needs to get approval from his wife. Thando has not approved of Siyacela getting a second wife in fact she said it will happen over her dead body. Yet again Siyacela does not care and would rather jeopardize his current marriage for Manto.

Thando deserves better !
We have not seen Siyacela generating the energy he generates for Mato into his relationship with Thando. By this I mean how often do we see Siyacela taking Thando out, let alone to a romantic dinner. Yes we get it she’s in school she can’t go out much during exams, but a romantic lunch at home wouldn’t hurt. There is no need for him to go look for an entire new relationship. Worst of all blindsiding his wife. #ThandoDeservesBetter!
