Emphasizing her existence in the music industry, Lady Du said that she’s been in the music business since she was 10-years-old and that she’s been an underdog!
“I’ve been in this industry longer than you guys know, been an underdog do your research you’ll see how many of my songs you’ve been dancing to and didn’t even know it was me. This is a picture of me when I was 10 playing and won the competition. Worked on Ukhozi too in 2013,” said Lady Du.

She said that she switched to the Amapiano genre in 2020.
“I switched to amapiano In august last year, but I’ve been in the music game since I was 10. I live, eat, breathe, music. My grandfather had a club in Vosloorus called Dukes Place, he passed and I was born hence my name Duduzile. My grandmother says I am my grandfather straight.
“This is a legacy passed on by my grandfather, to my dad DJ Choc, then my uncle DJ Zan D, now I am carrying the light. My grandad never had a girl, I was the first in his family. Hence the name LADY, DU!!!! This isn’t just talent, it is something I was born with it,” expressed Lady Du.
Lady Du said that her music story is one for the books, and she’s not winning because of luck.

“My music story is one for the books, I am not lucky, I did not chance a hit, I did not pay anyone, didn’t ask for favors, wasn’t spoon-fed. I worked, blood, sweat, and tears for exactly 21 years. Studying in between so if it doesn’t work out I have something to fall back on.
“Whenever you feel like giving up remember that things take time, now that I have a platform to change lives and help those that aren’t educated in music I will! This business is not as easy as it looks,” shared Lady Du.
She said that it’s so easy to succeed now because the gatekeepers of the industry don’t have the power anymore.
“It’s sooo easy to succeed now, the gatekeepers of the industry don’t have the power anymore. We are lead by social media and the youth. We have sooo much power to take over the world, we need to help each other. Find one person to help.

“I don’t care about the negative people I care about what I do to change how they view life, character can change the lies people speak about you. I have a big heart. I love hard. I love to see people win, I hate fake people, I hug everyone from homeless people to billionaires,” said Lady Du.
“I sometimes sit with homeless people listen to their stories, draw inspiration. We are not stars we are vessels that God has chosen to help him do the work he can’t physically do. And proudly I will do the work assigned for me. I will help where I can. Money Is replaceable.
“So I will be different, I don’t focus on things that don’t build me, material things don’t faze me. If I can touch a life nje, another thing a struggling human being doesn’t want to be posted struggling they allow you because you have something they need. Give without cameras,” said Lady Du.
