The star took to the socials to announce his up-and-coming track that features record producer, DJ, and vocalist Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe (33), famously known as DJ Maphorisa who is presently known for producing Amapiano hits after hit. The rapper has rebranded and changed his name from Reason to Sizwe Alakine, as recognized on the art cover of the track titled, Khanda Shisa. Sizwe Alakine, formerly known as Reason in the midst of his new musical journey, indicated the track is expected to be released today, 23 July 2021.
Sizwe Alakine’s idea of ‘rebranding’ and the new venture has astonished a number of individuals. Tweeps have continuously questioned why Hip Hop artists are shying away from their be-known genre to Amapiano. Cassper Nyovest recently voiced out his opinion on Hip Hop stars changing gears and rapping on an Amapiano beat after they condemned him continuously. Tweeps have questioned if the response will be the same with Sizwe Alakine, joining the Amapiano Music genre.
