KwaZulu Natal’s contemporary radio station Gagasi FM has confirmed a positive case of COVID-19. Saying that one staff member has tested positive and is currently in isolation!

In a statement released by the station on Tuesday, the station said that they cannot give any details pertaining to the identity of the staff member who tested positive for Coronavirus.
“Gagasi FM can confirm that one staff member has tested positive for COVID 19 and is currently in isolation. In respect for their privacy, we cannot give any details pertaining to the identity of a staff member. In line with regulations, Gagasi FM has shut down its offices in Cornubia until further notice and no staff member will be accessing the building,” reads the statement shared by the station via their official Instagram page.

The station further announced that necessary measures have been put in place to ensure that the broadcast services continue with minimal interruption.
“As an immediate response, presenters will be doing their shows from home and after sanitizing, testing, and getting the all-clear we will begin broadcasting through one of our remote broadcasting facilities in KZN,” said Gagasi FM’s management.
The station also announced that its management is currently engaged with the process of ensuring compliance with all the applicable government regulations.

“Gagasi FM management is currently engaged with the process of ensuring compliance with all the applicable government regulations in dealing with an issue of positive COVID 19 case in the workplace. Our utmost priority is the health of all our workers during these trying times,” concluded Gagasi FM.
Gagasi FM is a home station for the likes of DJ Warras, Nomalanga, DJ Lab, DJ LeSoul, and DJ Sonic to name just a few.
