Emtee, real name Mthembeni Ndevu has asked for recommendations to remove his Mercedes Benz tattoo after he was seriously screwed by former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment!apper
And Uzalo actress Thuthuka Mthembu aka Nonka encouraged Emtee not to remove the tattoo, saying: “Don’t remove it, you will own them again.”
“How do I remove a tattoo? I wanna remove this Mercedes tat cos I thought I owned 2 Mercedes Benz Kanti niks,” wrote Emtee on Sunday morning.
When fans cautioned him that he was going to be bullied by the label, Emtee said that he was not scared of them. “Bully who? I’m not scared of them Bonke (all of them).”
Last year the Sunday Sun reported that Ambitiouz Entertainment has taken all Mthandeni Ndevu’s cars and the apartment he was renting in Midrand.
The paper then alleged that the situation between Emtee and Ambitiouz Entertainment has taken a turn for the worst.
Lebo Manswanganyi who was quoted by the paper as Emtee’s manager confirmed Ambitiouz Entertainment repossessed his cars and the house.
The paper further reported that Emtee was using an Uber and moved back to his home in Orange Grove.
It was also reported that the actions by the record label were a result of Emtee expressing himself on social media that he was unhappy with Ambitiouz Entertainment.
“He’s been unhappy but as they throwing money at him, he kept his cool. Until other artists left, his eyes were opened to what was happening at Ambitiouz Entertainment. He really wants to be free so he can have his creative freedom,” said the anonymous source speaking to the paper (then).
According to reports (then) the label’s boss, Kgosi Mahumapelo denied any of the issues to be true. “None of this is true. The issue of the house, car, and two albums are not true.”
Early this MGOSI.co.za reported that Emtee did not receive a dime for his album Avery from the stable.
“They removed Avery from the internet cos it sold platinum plus and, I never even got a 2 bop for the sales,” wrote Emtee Ndevu.
